The Zanzibar Red Colobus - Procolobus kirkii

I can't help but insinuate the portrayed madness of the monkey scientist. It's suggested that because of Foster's Rule / The Island Rule - our friend here has seen a decrease in brain size over time due to "limited resources". I myself can't help but think due to this lack of resources, the Zanzibar Red Colobus does in fact look like a mad scientist.

So - What sorta experiments is the red colobus up to? They typically spend most of their time as a group eating leaves, flowers and the common potion. They won't move on until the males bark at everyone to say that it's time to change trees / laboratories. In fact, most of these laboratories reside in the mangrove where they mostly feed on Sodium Chloride (NaCi). Now if they doesn't scream science experiments enough to you - get this: the red colobus has been known to even eat Carbon! These guys are smart enough to know that by eating charcoal, that they'll see an increase in dietary expansion which in turn allows for a higher birth rates and higher densities even with the resource limitations!

I'm not here to scream aliens at you all, but I am screaming. The Zanzibar Red Colobus is up to something - and I dunno if it's a good thing or a bad thing just yet. If you ever see one - I'd love to listen to your own observation!
